François is a Belgian landscape designer who has been studying and practicing landscape architecture and urban design in various firms in Belgium as well as in the United States during the past ten years. He received his Bachelor of Science in landscape architecture from the Institut Superieur Industriel de Gembloux in 1998. Today François is a permanent resident of the United Sates and is currently finishing a dual Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture and in Regional Planning at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is married and has two young children.
François has always been concerned about the diverse and complex facets that the profession of landscape architecture encompasses. Likewise, he is convinced that professional and human exposure leads to interest, fervor, and passion necessary to fuel his ambition and creativity. After two years of working as a Landscape Architect in Belgium, François moved to the U.S. in 2002 and worked for a civil engineering firm specialized in land development prior entering his dual degree at the University of Massachusetts. Arriving close to completion of both degrees, François is looking forward to new horizons and professional challenges and is eager to apply his various skills and knowledge to his on growing career and passion.
